Toshiyuki Kita is an internationally acclaimed Japanese industrial designer. Since 1969, he has worked between Japan and Milan, blending Eastern craftsmanship with Western innovation across furniture, appliances, robotics, and spatial design.
His philosophy centers on human-centered design, ergonomics, and sustainability—creating products that bring comfort, emotion, and joy to everyday life.
Kita has received numerous international honors, including the Compasso d’Oro. His works are held in permanent collections at leading museums such as MoMA in New York, Centre Pompidou in Paris, and Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich.
